Introducing daring new design to L.A.'s top Lagree studio

This Pilates-inspired, total-body workout brings together control, cardio, and strength. The Lagree Fitness method is both high intensity and low impact and is adaptable to all fitness levels. The workout is safe, effective, efficient, and fun.

It was time for a full brand refresh

Pilates Plus LA approached us about creating a fresh new take on their fitness studios for spring 2019. After a decade of having the same look, their brand had become outdated, underwhelming, and lacked the ability to stand out against other trendy studios in the Los Angeles area.

Our goal - create a studio vibe like no other.

“I felt like Partywave intuitively understood my vision and I trusted them to take full creative control. Collaborating with Walker has been fun and I admire not only his work ethic, but respect him as a person." - Kristi Vacanti, CEO & Founder of PPLA

Breaking through the crowded L.A. fitness market.

The foundation was there. Pilates Plus LA already had the best Lagree fitness trainers and high-performance Megaformer machines in each of their five studios in Los Angeles. The only piece missing was a cohesive identity.

After the preliminary brand strategy workshop, our goal was to create a clean, bold new identity to fit their vibe and compliment where their business had grown. We helped the PPLA team develop their visual identity and voice, and honed in on a brand position that we believed was going to succeed.

We knew the studio interiors were a major selling point of convincing modern day fitness individuals to buy memberships. To set the mood, we darkened the studios and added futuristic "Tron" style lighting. Trainers were now allowed to change the lighting depending on the classes' mood and playlist, which we felt would break the routine and inspire more return from clients.

The tagline: "I am powerful." and other motivational quotes read across the studio walls, setting the tone upon walking through the doors.

The classes at Pilates Plus LA are set in an inspiring small group setting. The Lagree Method combines strength, endurance, cardio, balance, and flexibility in each and every move. With slow-controlled movements and fast transitions you will be able to hit maximum exertion with zero periods of rest in order to promote effective muscle fatigue.

You’ll maintain an elevated heart rate and stay in your fat burning zone for the full 40 or 50 minute class. This revolutionary workout will sculpt your physique in ways traditional exercise cannot from start to finish.
